The Intel SR1GN processor is part of the Intel Xeon Processor E7 v2 family for servers. It was introduced in 2014 and discontinued in 2016 and is usually referred to by its step code SR1GN. The CPU boasts 15 cores and 30 threads and operates at 2.3Ghz base frequency. The SR1GN also has 30MB of Intel Smart Cache, an 8GT/s bus speed, and 3 QPI links for optimum performance. The SR1GN uses 130W of thermal Design Power for a high-complex workload. The SR1GN is designed to work with Motherboards that have FCLGA2011 Sockets.
